Land Of The Gulf Savannah captures the unique and stark beauty of Australias Far North East.

Featuring: Lawn Hill Gorge, Undara Lava Tubes, Agate Creek, Escott, Cape Crawford, Karumba, Hellsgate and Tallaroo Hot Springs.

A visually stunning 30 minute program that takes the viewer to the high north eastern corner of Australia, the channel country of Queensland and slightly over the border into the Northern Territory. It is a program that captures a land uniquely of untamed wilderness.

This region extends west of the Great Dividing Range and spans many diverse land forms.

Taken from the warm water of the Gulf of Carpentaria where Karumba, a fishing town, is teeming with an abundance of seafood giving rise to one of Australias largest prawn industries.

To Escott, a Station that is a Mecca for fisherman that fly in from all over the world to try their luck with the prized Barramundi.

We take you on a journey to the Undara Lava Tubes a series of craters, produced 8 million years ago, that now pulsate with new forms of life. These Undara Tubes, are a rare phenomenon and considered to be the finest, best preserved and most impressive in the world.

There are many geological formations unique to this region, and we portray the Tallaroo Hot Springs, Agate Creek and Hellsgate Dam.

Then there is the oasis in the desert at Lawn Hill Gorge (The Emerald Jewel of the Gulf Savannah ), a red slash lined with Passionfruit Vines, Pandanus Palms and the ancient Livistona Regina Palm, one of the rarest trees in the world.

Hidden in the Abner Range we take an aerial journey across the spectacular Cape Crawford, the ruined city, where a collection of skyscrapers of ancient limestone protrude from the landscape.

This is definitely the last frontier of this magnificent country of Australia and we capture it beautifully with the visually impressive photography and inspiring music and narration.
